Why We Give
“The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it…” – Psalm 24:1. As Christ Followers, we believe that we are stewards of God’s resources because He is the owner of all that we have. Throughout scripture, we are reminded of the importance of giving back a portion of what God has so generously provided.
Ways to Give
At Greenville FCC we offer different ways that you can give to God’s work through your tithes and offerings.
- Your Time & Talents: We have many opportunities for you to give of your time to further the kingdom. These opportunities are inside the building, outside in the community and global through missions. As members of a body of Christ we are called to go joyfully into our community and love and serve others in Jesus’ name. The time you devote strengthens and extends God’s work.
- Your Treasures: We recognize that all we have is because of God and giving is an act of worship that should be done with a spirit of thanksgiving.
You can give Sunday mornings
- General Fund: When you fill out a commitment card each year you can indicate if you would like to receive weekly or monthly offering envelopes.
- Church Family Benevolence Fund: Envelopes that allow us to meet the needs of members of our church family in an immediate crisis.
You can give online
You can transfer funds directly to our PayPal account email@example.com. When you transfer funds from one PayPal account to another no fees are incurred. We do strongly suggest that no one use a credit card unless it is paid off every month. The Bible speaks in Proverbs 22:7 about “…the borrower [being] servant to the lender.” We do not wish our congregation to go into debt by tithing on a credit card.
You can give by setting up an automatic payment through your online banking
This service gives you the opportunity to set up a reoccurring tithe/offerings when and how you want it…worry-free!
