Christmas Musical “A Gift Beyond Reason”
December 2 at 6 p.m. & December 3 at 8:30 and 10:45 a.m.
Who was it who actually counted Mary, Joseph and the baby Jesus in the census taken for Caesar? Roman soldiers were all over Israel; did the travelers encounter one along the way? What if the Holy Family were not the only people in the stable that night? A Gift Beyond Reason is an original Christmas musical conceived and written by some of our own at GFCC. The show looks at the lives of five people who may well have been there in the days surrounding the first Christmas, but aren’t part of the traditional nativity story. These characters tell of their encounters with Mary, Joseph and the baby Jesus, and how that encounter affected — even radically changed — their lives. A Gift Beyond Reason is a refreshing, worshipful celebration of that gift to this world that is far beyond reason.
